Rob is one of Rayne's friends which is in a long-term relationship with Beth, so much in fact that he has disappeared from time to time due to this.
At one time he got thrown out by Beth, during which Rayne tried to hook him up with a girl, Alana. This however was a ruse to make him realise that he wanted to be with Beth.
